Then God said,“ Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

Put on your new nature, created to be like God— truly righteous and holy.

Then the Lord God said,“ Look, the human beings have become like us, knowing both good and evil. What if they reach out, take fruit from the tree of life, and eat it? Then they will live forever!”

what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor.You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals,the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents.

So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord— who is the Spirit— makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.

Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God.

This is the written account of the descendants of Adam. When God created human beings, he made them to be like himself.

All the animals of the earth, all the birds of the sky, all the small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the fish in the sea will look on you with fear and terror. But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.What we do see is Jesus, who for a little while was given a position“ a little lower than the angels”; and because he suffered death for us, he is now“ crowned with glory and honor.” Yes, by God’s grace, Jesus tasted death for everyone.

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.

If anyone takes a human life, that person’s life will also be taken by human hands. For God made human beings in his own image.

But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.”

You send the darkness, and it becomes night, when all the forest animals prowl about.Then the young lions roar for their prey, stalking the food provided by God.At dawn they slink back into their dens to rest.Then people go off to their work, where they labor until evening.O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.

People can tame all kinds of animals, birds, reptiles, and fish,

From one man he created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries.

Come, let’s go down and confuse the people with different languages. Then they won’t be able to understand each other.”

Now I will give your countries to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, who is my servant. I have put everything, even the wild animals, under his control.

You will be at peace with the stones of the field, and its wild animals will be at peace with you.

But Jesus replied,“ My Father is always working, and so am I.”

Yet they don’t ask,‘ Where is God my Creator, the one who gives songs in the night?

“ You are saying some rather strange things, and we want to know what it’s all about.”
