他又給他們祝福，使他們生養極多；也叫他們的牲口不減少。

這樣、永恆主賜福與約伯的晚年就勝過他起初的：他有羊一萬四千隻，駱駝六千隻，牛一千對，母驢一千匹。

『你看大河馬，我造牠也同造你一樣；牠喫草像牛一般。

上帝給挪亞和他的兒子祝福說：『要繁殖增多，充滿全地！

你妻子在你內室、像多結果子的葡萄樹；你兒女圍繞你的桌子、好像橄欖栽子。

我必垂顧着你們，使你們繁殖增多，也必同你們堅立我的約。

我們的倉盈滿，能作種種供應；我們的羊在我們野外，就有數千數萬。我們的牲口馱着滿馱，沒有人闖進來搶奪，也沒有人出去應戰；我們廣場上也沒有哀號的聲音。

永恆主的祝福才能使人富足；他並不加上憂傷。

但願人因永恆主的堅愛而稱讚他；因他向人類所行的奇事而頌讚他。

拉班對雅各說：『若蒙你賞臉，請仍然住下，因為我觀察了徵兆，知道永恆主賜福與我、是因你的緣故。』

我未來以前，你所有的很少，現在卻突破限量地增多了；隨着我的腳步、永恆主都賜福與你：如今我甚麼時候才為自己的家作點兒事呢？』

上帝對他說：『我是全能的上帝；你要繁殖增多，必有一國、集團之國、由你而生，必有君王由你腰腎中生出。
