whom God raised up, having loosed the pangs of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

For the grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men,instructing us, to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world;looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a people for his own possession, zealous of good works.

but declared both to them of Damascus first, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the country of Judæa, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.

His name shall endure for ever; His name shall be continued as long as the sun: And men shall be blessed in him; All nations shall call him happy.

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ:

And a Redeemer will come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith Jehovah.And as for me, this is my covenant with them, saith Jehovah: my Spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith Jehovah, from henceforth and for ever.

And we bring you good tidings of the promise made unto the fathers,that God hath fulfilled the same unto our children, in that he raised up Jesus; as also it is written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

And I know that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of Christ.
