Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down!’”

Then Ahaziah sent a captain to Elijah. The captain had his group of 50 fighting men with him. Elijah was sitting on top of a hill. The captain went up to him. He said to Elijah,“ Man of God, the king says,‘ Come down!’ ”

Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty men with his fifty. He went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him,“ O man of God, the king says,‘ Come down.’”

Then he sent an army captain with fifty soldiers to arrest him. They found him sitting on top of a hill. The captain said to him,“ Man of God, the king has commanded you to come down with us.”

So King Ahaziah sent a captain with his fifty men to Elijah. When the captain went up to him, he was sitting on top of the hill. He announced,“ Man of God, the king declares,‘ Come down!’”

Then the king sent to him a captain of fifty with his fifty men. And he went up to him, and behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. And he said to him,“ You man of God, the king says,‘ Come down.’ ”

The king sent a captain and his fifty soldiers to retrieve Elijah. The captain went up to him, while he was sitting on the top of a hill. He told him,“ Prophet, the king says,‘ Come down!’”

Then the king sent a captain of fifty with his fifty to him. He went up to him; and behold, he was sitting on the top of the hill. He said to him,“ Man of God, the king has said,‘ Come down!’”

王說：「你們去查看他在哪裏，我好派人去捉拿他。」有人告訴王說：「看哪，他在多坍。」王就派遣車馬和大軍往那裏去，夜間他們到了，圍困那城。

於是亞瑪謝對阿摩司說：「你這先見哪，要逃到猶大地，在那裏過活，在那裏說預言；

從那裏經過的人譏笑他，搖着頭，說：「哼！你這拆毀殿、三日又建造起來的，

以色列王對約沙法說：「還有一個人，是音拉的兒子米該雅，我們可以託他求問耶和華。只是我真的很恨他，因為他對我說預言，從不說吉言，總是說凶信。」約沙法說：「請王不要這麼說。」

耶洗別殺耶和華先知的時候，俄巴底把一百個先知藏了，每五十人藏在一個洞裏，拿餅和水供養他們。

又有人忍受戲弄、鞭打、捆鎖、監禁、各等的磨煉；

以色列的王基督，現在從十字架上下來，好讓我們看見就信了呀！」那和他同釘的人也譏諷他。

說：「基督啊，向我們說預言吧！打你的是誰？」

以色列王說：「把米該雅帶走，交回給亞們市長和約阿施王子，你們要說：『王如此說，把這個人關在監獄裏，使他受苦，吃不飽喝不足，直等到我平安回來。』」

他們怒氣填胸，彼此商議怎樣對付耶穌。在那些日子，耶穌出去，上山祈禱，整夜向神禱告。

眾祭司長、文士和長老也同樣嘲笑他，說：「他救了別人，不能救自己。他是以色列的王，現在從十字架上下來，我們就信他。他倚靠神，神若願意，現在就來救他，因為他曾說『我是神的兒子』。」

耶洗別就派使者到以利亞那裏，說：「明日約這時候，我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，願神明重重懲罰我。」

用荊棘編了冠冕，戴在他頭上，拿一根蘆葦稈放在他右手裏，跪在他面前，戲弄他，說：「萬歲，猶太人的王！」

原來，希律為他兄弟腓力的妻子希羅底的緣故，把約翰抓住綁了，關進監獄，

亞哈就上去吃喝。以利亞上了迦密山頂，屈身在地，把臉伏在兩膝之中。

我指着永生的耶和華－你的神起誓，無論哪一邦哪一國，我主都派人去找你。若他們說：『不在這裏』，他就叫那邦那國的人起誓說，他們實在找不到你。
