We tell you that we will certainly not go up before those who have died.The Lord himself will come down from heaven. We will hear a loud command. We will hear the voice of the leader of the angels. We will hear a blast from God’s trumpet. Many who believe in Christ will have died already. They will rise first.After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them. We will be taken up in the clouds. We will meet the Lord in the air. And we will be with him forever.

He has the power to bring everything under his control. By his power he will change our earthly bodies. They will become like his glorious body.

But Christ really has been raised from the dead. He is the first of all those who will rise from the dead.

No, we announce God’s wisdom. His wisdom is a mystery that has been hidden. But before time began, God planned that his wisdom would bring us heavenly glory.

he showed us the mystery of his plan. It was in keeping with what he wanted to do. It was what he had planned through Christ.

After that, he appeared to more than 500 brothers and sisters at the same time. Most of them are still living. But some have died.

So here is how you should think of us. We serve Christ. We are trusted with the mysteries God has shown us.

Suppose I have the gift of prophecy. Suppose I can understand all the secret things of God and know everything about him. And suppose I have enough faith to move mountains. If I don’t have love, I am nothing at all.
