那火降下、耶和華的榮光在殿上的時候，以色列眾人看見，就在石板地俯伏敬拜，稱謝耶和華：「耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！」

他們彼此唱和，讚美稱謝耶和華：「他本為善，他向以色列永施慈愛。」他們讚美耶和華的時候，眾百姓大聲呼喊，因為耶和華殿的根基已經立定。

於是，摩西和亞倫帶着這些按名指定的人，

約沙法與百姓商議，就設立歌唱的人，頌讚耶和華，使他們穿上聖潔的禮服，走在軍隊前讚美耶和華：「當稱謝耶和華，因他的慈愛永遠長存！」

你們要稱謝耶和華，因他本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！

供職的人和他們的子孫如下：哥轄的子孫中有歌唱的希幔；希幔是約珥的兒子，約珥是撒母耳的兒子，

大衛把亞薩和他的弟兄留在耶和華的約櫃那裏，經常在約櫃前事奉，天天盡本分供職，

歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音，並聽見有人說：你們要稱謝萬軍之耶和華，因耶和華本為善，他的慈愛永遠長存！他們奉感謝祭到耶和華的殿中；因為我必使這地被擄的人歸回，如起初一樣。這是耶和華說的。」

他憐憫敬畏他的人，直到世世代代。

但耶和華的慈愛歸於敬畏他的人，從亙古到永遠；他的公義也歸於子子孫孫，

從前大衛和眾領袖派殿役服事利未人，現在從這殿役中也帶了二百二十人來，全都是按名指定的。

希幔的弟兄亞薩在希幔的右邊供職；亞薩是比利家的兒子，比利家是示米亞的兒子，示米亞是米迦勒的兒子，米迦勒是巴西雅的兒子，巴西雅是瑪基雅的兒子，瑪基雅是伊特尼的兒子，伊特尼是謝拉的兒子，謝拉是亞大雅的兒子，亞大雅是以探的兒子，以探是薪瑪的兒子，薪瑪是示每的兒子，示每是雅哈的兒子，雅哈是革順的兒子，革順是利未的兒子。他們的弟兄米拉利的子孫，在他們左邊供職的有以探；以探是基示的兒子，基示是亞伯底的兒子，亞伯底是瑪鹿的兒子，瑪鹿是哈沙比雅的兒子，哈沙比雅是亞瑪謝的兒子，亞瑪謝是希勒家的兒子，希勒家是暗西的兒子，暗西是巴尼的兒子，巴尼是沙麥的兒子，沙麥是末力的兒子，末力是母示的兒子，母示是米拉利的兒子，米拉利是利未的兒子。

瑪拿西半支派，冊上有名來擁立大衛作王的，有一萬八千人。
